The Yukon XL has five trim levels:

Each trim level has its own style, both inside and out. No matter which trim you choose, you'll be met with a handsome cabin lined in soft-touch and fine materials such as wood trim or available leather upholstery. There is seating for seven to eight passengers, depending on the configuration. The standard layout has second and third-row bench seats, which seat eight. Drivers can opt for two captain's chairs in the second row, which brings the total seating down to seven.

Standard interior style and comfort features include premium cloth upholstery, a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat, and an eight-way power-adjustable passenger seat. Optional features include leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, heated outboard seats, heated tilt and telescoping steering wheel, massaging front seats, and power-folding second-row seats.

For child safety, there is a full set of LATCH connectors for each second-row seat (up to three depending on the layout) and three tether anchors in the third row.

On the dashboard is a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment center with a 12-inch digital gauge cluster. The designers angled the infotainment center toward the driver for easy access and included intuitive, user-friendly menus. Other standard interior features include navigation, satellite radio, push-button start, keyless entry, and tri-zone automatic climate control. Optional features include a universal garage door opener, a panoramic sunroof, and an in-vehicle safe.

The Yukon has an impressive cargo capacity with 25.6 cubic feet of space behind the rear seat, 72.6 behind the second row, and a total of 122.9 cubic feet.

2025 GMC Yukon Exterior Design

For 2025, GMC lightly refreshed the Yukon with a new front fascia that features a more aggressive grille and a selection of headlight designs. Both the front and rear lighting of the Yukon have animation features that further set the large SUV apart. The Denali Ultimate trim gets standard 24-inch wheels. The Denali and Denali Ultimate models elevate performance with a 420-hp 6.2-liter V8 - an optional upgrade for the AT4 as well. For those prioritizing efficiency and torque, the 3.0-liter inline-six turbo diesel delivers an impressive 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque, improved from the previous year's output. All powertrains pair seamlessly with a 10-speed automatic transmission, offering either rear- or all-wheel drive configurations.

Notable updates for 2025 include a shift to a column-mounted gear selector, replacing the previous dashboard-mounted buttons for enhanced ease of use. The off-road-focused AT4 trim adds capability with a two-speed transfer case, skid plates, 20-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires, and an available air suspension that provides an additional two inches of ground clearance. While all engines handle the Yukon's size and duties admirably, the diesel's abundant low-end torque and superior fuel economy make it particularly suited for both towing and long-haul comfort.
